Where is my reading data stored?
Books, shelves, sessions, goals, notes, and artwork are stored on your device. Data leaves your device only when you explicitly export or share it, enable iCloud sync, sign in, search a book catalog, or make an App Store purchase.
Why is Screen Time not blocking an app?
Open Profile → Block Distractions, grant Screen Time access, and select at least one app or category. Blocking begins only during a reading session where distraction blocking is enabled.
Why is my shelf widget out of date?
Open Profile → Widgets, choose the library and shelf again, then tap Refresh shelf widgets. iOS may take a moment to reload the Home Screen timeline.
Purchases and trials
Purchases are processed by Apple. Use Restore Purchases inside Read Often if access is missing, or manage an active subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings.
